Danielle Barcomb-Busansky, CTRS, develops adaptive recreation programs for Sitrin’s NeuroCare residents. Within these programs, she works on fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, cognition, and social wellbeing. She assess each resident upon admission, and bases the programs around personal leisure interests.

Barcomb-Busansky earned her Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation from Utica College. She also became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).

Before Sitrin, she worked at Upstate Cerebral Palsy and was responsible for planning monthly community activities for individuals throughout the local area. Currently, Barcomb-Busansky enjoys providing programs that enhance each Neuro resident’s quality of life, making the residents feel at home on the unit.
